We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team in Laredo, TX. The ideal candidate will assist the Nurse Practitioner (NP) with clinical and administrative tasks to ensure smooth and efficient patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Nurse Practitioner with setting up infusions and preparing treatment areas.
- Perform inventory management, including tracking supplies and medications.
- Order medications and medical supplies as needed to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Screen patients upon arrival, including gathering medical history and reason for visit.
- Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
- Administer injections and other basic clinical procedures under supervision.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Support the clinical team with other duties as assigned to enhance patient care quality.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent certification preferred.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting, preferably assisting Nurse Practitioners.
- Knowledge of infusion setup and medication handling.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform injections and take vital signs accurately.
- Familiarity with inventory management and ordering procedures.
- Basic computer skills and experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
This position is based in a clinical setting in Laredo, TX. The Medical Assistant will work closely with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
