Job Description

The Associate Director, Media Analytics, DTAI will evolve our client-facing, data-storytelling capability within the practice and play an integral role in providing strategic support and subject matterย expertiseย in measurementย andย analytics. They will focus onย narrative building to enhance ourย data-based story-tellingย capabilities and bring new opportunities, approaches, ideas, perspectives, etc. to key client relationships. The AD will drive data-led integration & measurement strategies on behalf of our clients, while partnering closely with Strategy, Activation, Operations, Audience andย AdOpsย teams to implement these strategies across multi-channel activations.ย ย The AD will bring a combination of sophisticated data management experience andย business acumen, balancing a strategic mindset with a robust capability to get tactical and into the weeds. They will also bring deep client,ย relationshipย and project managementย proficiency, together with a passion for building new capabilities through experimentation. In this role, the AD willย be requiredย to unpack and structure ambiguous problems, own and drive projects from start to finish, apply sound business judgment, and communicate complex information effectively across a variety of stakeholders. The AD will generate insights based on media and marketing performance data to align with strategic planning and will work with both first-party and third-party data vendors and publishers to maximize the data opportunity for the client, to goย above and beyondย status-quo.ย ย The AD willย need toย indirectlyย influence acrossย senior business leaders and clients. They will lead with genuineย curiosity, andย demonstrate a natural desire to dive deep in the numbers to discover context, create business cases, and go beyond usual approaches to solve problems and seize opportunities. The AD will have the depth of experience and willingness to "have an opinion" backed up by insight and analytics and the confidence to influence key stakeholders in meetings.ย ย Requiring high levels of collaboration and embodying a coaching mindset, the AD will provide clients & internal stakeholders with a holistic understanding of their audience's media consumption patterns, ensuring campaigns reach the right viewers on the most effective platforms using a playbook of tools, including 1P (Epsilon), third-party data providers (addressable & non-addressable, aggregators, industry research) as well as tools like comScore,ย SimilarWeb, and others, to optimize national,ย regional and local planning.

Responsibilities
  • Beย anย in-house expert on how 1P and 3P audience data and data-driven media activation can drive business and improve ROI for clients, including communicating horizontally and vertically across stakeholdersย 

  • Translate insights into strategic recommendations aligned with client objectivesย 

  • Align reporting with key stakeholders and strategic initiativesย 

  • Lead stakeholder relationships and ensure client satisfactionย 

  • Integrate market intelligence into media strategy for proactive planningย 

  • Negotiate contracts and align vendor solutions with business needsย 

  • Influence senior stakeholders through compelling, strategic insightsย 

  • Connect diagnostic analytics to businessย objectivesย for actionable outcomesย 

  • Work with cross-DTAI teams toย leverageย advanced modeling techniques to improve marketing/media ROIย 

  • Lead experimentation frameworks and ensure alignment with business KPIsย 

  • Streamline cross-channel reporting processes for efficiency and scalabilityย 

  • Understand how platform/data technologies work and offer the ability to explain technical concepts in ordinary terms (be technically savvy & understand the opportunities and limitations)ย 

  • Partner with Data Architecture and Analytics leadership to create new product offerings and thought leadership to drive our clients' businessย ย 

  • Partner with internal Programmatic and media investment arms to support campaign activation as well as advanced data use casesย ย 

  • Oversee, author and/or constructively edit and review the writing of media documents (timelines, POVs, RFPs, plans, agreements, client memos, and correspondence from within and outside the agency)ย 

  • Share knowledge with client and internal teamsย regardingย derived insights and results toย impactย business needs and further growthย 

  • Identifyย organic growth opportunities and craft meaningful proposals for clients to maximize their data strategy as it relates to adย spendย 

  • Activelyย participateย in industry learning.ย Regularly meetย with internal stakeholders and vendors to POVs and materials are up to date and translate these materials into meaningful client-facing materials to support learning,ย evangelismย and advocacy for Infinite Roarย 

Qualifications
  • 5+ years managing relationships across complex hierarchies andย demonstratedย ability to influence indirectlyย ย 

  • Proven ability to translate analytics into strategic business recommendationsย 

  • Experience in competitive and market intelligence integrationย 

  • Expertiseย in A/B testing, and experimentation frameworksย 

  • Familiarity with automation tools and process optimization techniquesย 

  • Excellent oral, written and client presentation skills, with the ability to create compelling data-driven narratives and a natural knack forย story-telling.ย Handsย onย experience translating complex concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders isย required.ย 

  • In-depth knowledge of ad and marketing technology, including media buying, multi-channel measurement, creating measurement frameworks and learning agendas,ย as well as breadth of knowledge on ad servers, dynamic creative optimization, OLV/CTV + Linear measurement, ad verification, customer data platforms, identity resolution solutions, DSPs, etc.ย ย 

  • Deep experience in the use of audience data to impact business outcomes through effective media strategies and activationsย ย 

  • Strong project management skillsย ย 

  • Proficiencyย and understanding of cross-channel media planning,ย executionย and measurement processesย ย 

  • Experience successfully managing multiple clients and/or brands across a variety of third-party marketing measurement technologies and platformsย 

  • Demonstrated ability to quicklyย adaptingย to new ad measurement and technology platforms, from high-level understanding through implementation (DSP, Ad Servers, Mobileย webย and in-app tracking deployment experience necessary) and to train team members quickly and effectively on these same topicsย 

  • Embody a can-do attitude, and a "figureoutability" mindsetย 

  • Day 1 readinessย

  • Start-up experience (orย commensurateย entrepreneurial experience) strongly preferredย 

  • Deep understanding andย experience basedย point-of-view onย best ofย breed technology tools for BI/Data Analytics, Martech,ย Adtech, CDP, CRM, etc. preferred.ย 

  • Previousย agency-side experienceย 

  • Experience working with marketing mix modeling (MMM),ย attributionย and measurement companies: including Neustar, MMA (IPSOS), Analytic Partners, Nielsen (mROI; Visual IQ), IRI,ย Circana, (m)PHASIZE, etc.ย 

  • Familiarity with:ย 

  • Web analytics platforms (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, etc.)ย 

  • Surveys (Lucid,ย Millwardย Brown, Nielsen, etc.)ย 

  • Competitive monitoring tools (Nielsen, comScore, Kantar,ย Pathmatics,ย Competitrac, Numerator, etc.)ย

Compensation Range: $112,290.00 - $161,280.00. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
