Job description

Job Title: Mechatronics & Robotics Technician
Job Description

As a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting the Operations Maintenance team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will also have the opportunity to install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Install, inspect, repair, and maintain material handling equipment, such as conveyors.
  • Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.
  • Perform battery changes and preventive maintenance on batteries.
  • Enter downtime data in daily logs and complete PM sheets.
  • Manage work orders within a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Troubleshoot and identify problems with equipment.
  • Track and store the department's inventory, including spare parts.
Essential Skills
  • At least 2+ years of experience in conducting quality predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
  • 2+ years of experience in repairing material handling equipment or automated conveyor systems and controls.
  • 2+ years of blueprint and electrical schematic reading.
  • 2+ years of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles.
  • 2+ years of experience in following and demonstrating safety standards.
  • 1+ year of experience in troubleshooting and diagnostics of MHE systems.
  • 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.
  • High school or equivalent diploma.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in Distribution, Logistics, Manufacturing, or Industrial industries performing maintenance on complex systems and industrial equipment.
  • Able to troubleshoot basic input and output function of building operations.
  • Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a desire to learn and grow.
  • Experience with MHE safety standards in accordance with OEM and safety standards.
  • Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field.
  • 2+ years of apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field.
  • 2+ years of experience working with PLC-based control systems.
  • Experience with robotic operation and maintenance.

Work Environment

You will work in a large distribution facility equipped with high-speed automation and mostly robotic components. Performance is tracked by data and numbers to ensure expectations are met, but micromanagement is avoided. Be prepared to walk approximately 10,000 steps per day and handle up to 49 lbs. Candidates must be open to working any 10-hour shift, as positions are available for all shifts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.50 - $32.50/hr.
