Location: Detroit, MI
Duration: Fulltime

Mandatory Requirement:
5+ to 10 Years of Industrial experience
Mechanical and Electrical Component Design
Concept Designing
Individual Component Designing (Plus)
Experiment and Device Development
R&D Experience
Mechatronic experience

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic Systems preferred).
Previous experience with mechatronic systems (i.e. associated with multidisciplinary machinery, laboratory systems, test systems, manufacturing systems, etc.).
Strong analytical skills enabling colleague to understand, implement customer/user needs and develop design and market requirements. Collect data, draw conclusions, develop and evaluate design solutions and alternatives. Make recommendations to management.
Evidence of ability to understand and complete work taking a system point-of-view.
High level of verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate technical ideas and solutions to a wide variety of audiences.
Evidence of ability to present information to project teams, management and manufacturing groups. Lead project teams for small to medium complexity projects.
Proven organization and planning skills and the ability to handle multiple, concurrent projects, meeting budgetary and time goals.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret scientific and technical journals.
Proficiency with computer tools including Microsoft Office, systems analysis and data management.
Proven ability to work in both a team and individual capacity with limited supervision.
Preferred Skills:
Five (5) years of product and/or systems design experience in engineering or research and development
Experience with 3D CAD tools and design
Software development experience
Lean Six Sigma exposure or experience.
