Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Meat Manager to join the team at our successful store. As a Meat Cutter/Manager, you will be responsible for operating the meat department to the high standards set forth by the company. You will trim and prepare standard cuts of meat as specified in-store guidelines and follow the storeโ€™s meat merchandising plan. The Meat Cutters/Managers goal is to drive sales within the meat department and maximize profitability.
Responsibilitiesย 
  • Cut and trim meat using knives and power equipment
  • Package and display meat in an attractive manner
  • Order inventory and maintain appropriate levels of stock
  • Receive and inspect meat as it arrives to the store
  • Ensure the cold chain is unbroken and meat remains high qualityย 
  • Follow high standards of sanitation and quality control
  • Mange the department for profitabilityย 
Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Experience using meat cutting equipment, power equipment, and hand tools
  • Ability to stand for long periods and regularly lift 30lbs
