Job description

McLaren Boston is looking for an experienced Automotive / Service Technician to join our busy shop.

Job Type: Full Time

Pay: $80,000-$150,000

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair vehicles as requested

  • Service vehicles in a timely manner for routine scheduled maintenance in accordance with dealer and manufacturer recommendations

  • Communicate with the designated Service Manager or Advisor on a regular basis about work performed, necessary changes, new parts needed or any other concerns related to repair or maintenance work on vehicles

  • Keep up with required knowledge and skills in automotive maintenance by attending workshops, seminars or other classes to help ensure the work completed is of the highest quality

  • Follow all safety requirements and local and federal standards when working with all tools and equipment

  • Adhere to best practices when working in the automotive service environment by reporting any accidents or incidents to management as soon as possible

Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience as an auto technician in a dealership or shop environment

  • ASE/OEM certification preferred, but not required

  • 21+ years old

  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record

  • Ability to bend, move, lift and physically perform duties in the scope of this position

  • Must have own tools

  • Team oriented
