Job description

Hospitalist Physician Opportunity

Medical Clinic of Houston, L.L.P. ("MCH") is seeking a hospitalist physician to see its patients at a premier hospital located within the world-renowned Texas Medical Center. This is a rare opportunity to be part of a growing, independent, multi-specialty physician practice serving adult patients.

Compensation/Benefits

  • Closed system - see MCH patients only;
  • Average 10-12 per day;
  • Competitive salary;
  • Eligible for Quality Incentive Bonus;
  • Employed position with comprehensive benefits package;
  • CME allowance; and
  • 1 weeks on, 1 week off schedule - providing coverage with 4 other hospitalists.

Standards

  • Thoroughly evaluates and manages each patient appropriately.
  • Demonstrates excellent interpretive skills of test results.
  • Demonstrates excellent procedural skills and appropriate use of procedures and testing.
  • Understands and is responsive to patients' needs and concerns.
  • Interacts with patients in a caring, sensitive manner.
  • Receives minimal number of patient complaints. Receives positive patient satisfaction surveys.
  • Demonstrates excellent diagnostic skills and identifies relevant medical issues accurately.

Education and Experience

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Medicine, U.S. residency trained.
  • Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Texas.
  • Board certified in internal medicine and in area of specialty, if applicable, (must be board certified/eligible upon date of hire and must become board certified within first twelve months of employment)
