Job description

This Career Academy application is for active Med Center Health employees only.
This application to join the 5th RN Cohort of the Career Academy at Med Center Health through the LPN to RN Bridge program will be available through August 15, 2026.
The Registered Nursing associate degree (LPN to RN Bridge) program at Southcentral Kentucky Community & Technical College (SKYCTC) will span 2 semesters, beginning January 2027 and graduating December 2027.

Career Academy Program Summary
The Career Academy is a workforce development program at Med Center Health (MCH) supporting current MCH employees seeking to grow in their career by pursuing a qualifying healthcare-related associate degree which would help fulfill the MCH organization's current workforce needs.
Selected MCH employees participating in the Career Academy will:
  • Be employed in a full-time position receiving full-time pay and benefits while working only part-time hours during school.
  • Attend school full-time for the approved healthcare degree.
  • Have school costs for the approved healthcare degree paid by MCH.
  • Complete required clinical rotations at MCH.
  • Work full-time at MCH after graduation in an available position corresponding to the completed healthcare degree for a minimum of 2 years.
  • Obtain the required licensure(s) following graduation within the allowed time frame for the position.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Active employment with Med Center Health required.
  • Strong attendance and performance in current position preferred.
  • Working at MCH for at least 6 months preferred.
  • Currently licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Kentucky required.
  • Admission as general student at Southcentral Kentucky Community & Technical College (SKYCTC) required.
  • Admittance to the SKYCTC Registered Nursing (LPN to RN) associate degree program required.
