Position Overview

The Senior iOS Application Engineer / Consultant will support the design, development, enhancement, integration, testing, deployment, and production support of the E-Citations mobile application.

The consultant will work closely with Product, Engineering, Architecture, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, reliable, high-performance functionality for field operations.

This role requires deep hands-on .NET MAUI/iOS engineering expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to independently deliver complex application enhancements within an enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, enhance, and support the E-Citations iOS application using .NET MAUI and C#.

Build secure, scalable, high-performance mobile functionality using .NET MAUI, XAML, and native iOS APIs where required.

Develop offline-first capabilities, including local storage, caching, background synchronization, retry logic, conflict resolution, and offline/online reconciliation.

Integrate securely with REST/GraphQL APIs, .NET backend services, Azure services, relational databases, and enterprise systems.

Develop and support Bluetooth/BLE integrations, including Zebra ZQ-series mobile printers, connection recovery, and printer status/error handling.

Implement camera, photo capture, barcode scanning, OCR, document scanning, and identity-related workflows using .NET MAUI and native iOS capabilities.

Implement secure authentication and data protection using OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, Keychain, encryption, certificate pinning, and secure local storage.

Develop responsive, accessible, field-friendly interfaces optimized for rapid operational workflows.

Perform unit, integration, regression, UI, and performance testing; troubleshoot application, connectivity, integration, and production issues.

Support CI/CD, automated builds, provisioning, code signing, release workflows, telemetry, and production support.

Participate in Agile delivery, estimation, code reviews, demonstrations, and release planning.

Maintain technical documentation for developed functionality, integrations, deployment, and operational support.

Required Skills & Experience

Extensive hands-on experience developing enterprise mobile applications using .NET MAUI and C# for iOS.

Strong experience with XAML, .NET MAUI Community Toolkit, .NET MAUI Essentials, MVVM, Clean Architecture, and dependency injection.

Experience building offline-first mobile applications using SQLite, local caching, synchronization, retry, and conflict-resolution patterns.

Hands-on experience with Bluetooth/BLE and Zebra mobile printers, preferably including Zebra ZQ-series printers and Zebra SDK integration.

Strong experience integrating mobile applications with REST/GraphQL APIs, .NET/ASP.NET Core services, Azure, SQL Server, and Azure SQL.

Experience integrating .NET MAUI applications with native iOS frameworks and platform-specific APIs where required.

Strong knowledge of enterprise security including OAuth, OIDC, JWT, Keychain, encryption, certificate pinning, and application hardening.

Experience with enterprise MDM platforms such as Microsoft Intune, Workspace ONE/AirWatch, or Jamf.

Strong experience with Git, GitHub/GitLab, CI/CD, Jenkins/Bitrise, automated testing, provisioning and signing.

Knowledge of App Store Connect, APNs, telemetry, crash reporting, diagnostics, and application monitoring.

Strong troubleshooting, collaboration, and independent execution skills within complex enterprise environments.

Preferred Experience

Experience supporting public-sector, public-safety, transportation, enforcement, citation, or field-workforce applications, particularly solutions involving mobile printing, offline operation, secure enterprise integration, and mission-critical field usage.
