This role reports to the local operations team and is a field-based, mobile position — meaning the technician travels between properties throughout the week to complete assigned work orders.

Day-to-day responsibilities involve responding to maintenance tickets submitted through our task management platform, completing repairs independently, and communicating updates via mobile app. This is a hands-on role requiring reliable transportation, personal tools, and the ability to work both weekdays and weekends as scheduling demands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform drywall repair and replacement for damaged areas up to 4'x4' on walls and ceilings

  • Complete electrical work including replacing receptacles, outlets, and light fixtures

  • Conduct paint prep and painting for small patch areas as well as full wall or ceiling surfaces

  • Repair tile and grout in kitchen and bathroom settings

  • Troubleshoot appliance issues and replace faulty parts as needed

  • Travel between assigned properties to complete scheduled and urgent work orders

  • Receive, update, and close maintenance tasks using a designated mobile app

  • Maintain a professional appearance per dress code standards while on property

Required Qualifications
  • Must currently reside on the island of Maui

  • Demonstrated experience in interior residential or hospitality building maintenance

  • Proficiency in drywall repair, basic electrical work, tile/grout repair, painting, and appliance servicing

  • Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation

  • Availability to work weekdays and weekends

  • Ownership of tools necessary to perform assigned maintenance tasks

  • Tech-savvy with a personal smartphone capable of running task management applications

  • Professional appearance: polo shirt, closed-toe shoes, and neutral-colored pants or shorts in good condition (no holes or rips)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience working in short-term rental, hotel, or multifamily residential maintenance

  • Familiarity with property management or work order platforms (e.g., Breezeway, Streamline)

  • Ability to self-prioritize across multiple properties in a single workday

  • Basic knowledge of plumbing or HVAC as supplemental skills
