Description:
Manson Northwest Webster Elementary School is currently accepting applications for an elementary classroom teacher - anticipated for the 2024-25 school year. MNW Elementary school is a Preschool-6th grade building part of Manson Northwest Webster Community School District. The elementary school is located in Barnum which is located on Highway 7 between Manson and Fort Dodge. The elementary school uses a strong MTSS system to help guide instruction for learners. The elementary uses PBIS, enVision math curriculum, Wonders reading curriculum, and Project Lead the Way for hands on science learning.
Job Summary:
To facilitate student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills through implementing district and state approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; addressing specific educational needs of individual students by creating a flexible, safe and optimal learning environment at school; and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations and goals.
Performance Responsibilities of Talented and Gifted Teacher
Identification/Administration:
  1. 1. Uses multiple selection criteria to identify gifted and talented students in the total student population
  2. Uses whole group lessons and small groups (P.E.T.S) to develop thinking skills in grades K-2. (pre-identification)
  3. Annually updating the District TAG plan with the team.
Instruction:
  1. Plans and delivers instruction aligned to stated and district standards that meets students' needs to ensure growth.
  2. Adapts teaching methods and instructional materials to meet student learner differences.
  3. Assess student learning by using data and student feedback to inform instructional practices
  4. Creates a safe learning environment for students to explore their own social-emotional needs.
  5. Supports teachers in their understanding of the needs of talented and gifted students within their classroom.
  6. Builds positive relationships with students and engages their families to ensure support for student growth and learning.
