Job description

STS Technical Services is hiring a Material Program Manager in Cleveland, Ohio. This position is on-site and supports material services, supply chain activity, AOG support, stock audits, core return analysis, invoice disputes, retrofit campaigns and customer-facing logistics operations.
This role is ideal for an experienced material support and supply chain professional with strong aviation parts knowledge, customer account management experience and the ability to support high-pressure material service needs in a fast-moving aviation environment.
Position Summary
The Material Program Manager coordinates all Material Programs Management activities, including AOG support, on-site stock audits and reconciliations, core return analysis, invoice disputes, retrofit and sales campaigns and other material and logistics topics that enhance direct customer support.
This position works closely with customers, service centers, suppliers, internal teams and global business units to improve material availability, strengthen customer relationships and support aircraft availability.
Job Responsibilities
  • Manage customer requests related to Material Services and Supply Chain activities
  • Support inquiries related to material support processes, AOG escalation, repair management, Supply Chain policies, parts warranty and core management
  • Take part in and present updates on Material Support and Logistics processes and projects at the Embraer Executive Operators Conference
  • Ensure compliance with scheduled visits and training for customers and service centers
  • Review Executive Supply Chain processes with customers and service centers to improve customer-company relationships
  • Coordinate global parts distribution for retrofit campaigns to maximize aircraft availability
  • Track parts and coordinate with service centers and customers on retrofit campaign scheduling
  • Manage on-site stock inventory counts, audits and replenishment metrics
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators for retrofit campaign implementation
  • Interface with corporate planning and Customer Support Program teams to review retrofit plans
  • Help forecast parameters for seed units in retrofit campaigns
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to operators regarding full material performance
  • Include root cause analysis and ongoing action plans in customer-facing presentations
  • Maintain global interface with company units, customers, operators, suppliers, contracted maintenance shops, technical representatives, engineers, technical assistants, customer account managers and other support entities
  • Partner with New Business Development on future Material Support Services opportunities
  • Attend and facilitate Supply Chain meetings as required
  • Report status updates and issues from Supply Chain meetings
  • Establish corrective action and recovery plans for compromised material services processes
  • Identify opportunities to enhance customer service
  • Manage Material Customer Support analytics and open tickets
  • Continually seek opportunities to improve process flow and work efficiency
  • Ensure customer inquiries are processed to meet customer expectations and company financial targets
  • Provide professional and expeditious assistance in high-pressure situations
  • Perform other tasks as requested

Education
  • College degree required
  • B.A. or B.S. undergraduate degree in Engineering, Business Management or a related field
  • Familiarization with aircraft parts required
  • Familiarization with Embraer Supply Chain and Order Management processes required
  • Master's degree is a plus

Experience
  • Five or more years of experience in Material Support and Services activities
  • Experience with order taking, core return, retrofit, repair management and supply chain
  • Understanding of pool programs and contract management
  • Customer account management experience supporting large aviation fleets

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Proficient in SAP material and logistics movements
  • Salesforce database skills, including case analysis and reporting
  • Understanding and comprehension of AOG and Order Desk operations
  • Excellent presentation skills, including presentations to C-suite level audiences

Working Conditions and Special Requirements
  • Ability to work in a safe and professional manner while adhering to all regulatory requirements, including OSHA, EPA, state and federal regulations
  • May be required to be on call
  • 0 to 25 percent travel may be required
