Job description

Materials Handler II (Exception Clerk) - Wearables 2nd shift

Brand: Luxottica (LoA Corporate) Location: McDonough, GA, US, 30253 Store #: M03595 Stella Logistics Direct - ATL Lab Position: Full-Time

General Function: The Materials Handler II provides the workflow and exception solution to the operations team. The Materials Handler II works closely with the management team to hold operations accountable for deliver quality, accuracy, and process reliability. The Materials Handler II is also responsible root cause analysis and address properly to whom it's necessary any orders that do not ship within the desired lead time.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collect work/orders to the floor blocked due exception based on priorities given from leadership.
  • Analyzes error log, resolves issues and reports out issues that cannot be resolved.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves issues to ensure on time shipping and delivery.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancy for root cause.
  • Helps coach and train associates so solve exception when it is possible.
  • Works closely with leadership team to expedite high priority orders and ensure accuracy.
  • Analyzes WIP report to ensure orders are released in a timely manner and follows up with operations team to make sure they ship on time.
  • Acts as the subject matter expert for WIP report.
  • Works closely with IT and support team to expedite high priority orders and ensure accuracy.
  • Creates sense of urgency for the team in order to meet forecasted requirements.
  • Completes projects as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years relevant work experience
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written)
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint
  • Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as requested by leadership
  • Ability to interact professionally with all levels of personnel
  • Self-Starter; team player
