Job description

Job Summary:

SPC Regrind/Mixing Operator's primary responsibility is keeping the Regrind/Mixing area clean. Keep scrap bins replaced at the back of the extrusion lines. They are also responsible for the accuracy of the Pallet/Bin weight reported on the regrind waste weight paperwork. Also keeping the additive hoppers upstairs full. Continuously Checking/Operating Mixing computer screen. Calculating the end of shift waste weight.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Remove full waste bins/pallets from the extrusion area.
  • Be sure the material weight on the pallets/bins is accurate and accounted for.
  • Load supersacks by crane upstairs to fill hoppers.
  • Operate the Mixing area.
  • Operate Regrind.
  • Problem solve issues/ trouble shoot to find solutions during issues.
  • Operate overhead crane.
  • Startup and shutdown Regrind/Mixing when needed.
  • Notify Maintenance immediately when issues occur.
  • Assist in general clean-up and maintenance.
  • Keep both Regrind/Mixing areas clean

Performance Expectations (if applicable):

  • Lifting is required of tools and parts with varying weights of 1-100 pounds.
  • Standing and climbing on and off the lift truck is required.
  • Bending is required to pick up parts and tools or do work multiple times a day.
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, and kneel.

Experience/Education Requirements:

  • LTO-certified experience preferred.
  • High school graduate or GED preferred.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, crouch, or sit for long periods, work in tight spaces, lift and maneuver objects of 50+ pounds.

Other Requirements:

  • Overtime is required on occasion.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
  • Filling in on other Shifts/Positions when needed.
