Join Knight Aerospace - Materials Control Associate I

Knight Aerospace is looking for a Materials Control Associate I to join our team in San Antonio, TX.

This is a hands-on position supporting our manufacturing operations through receiving, stocking, inventory control, kitting, shipping, and material movement. We're looking for someone who is dependable, organized, enjoys staying active, and works well as part of a team.

Pay: $16.00/hour
Annual Bonus: 5% performance-based bonus
Schedule: Full-time | Monday-Thursday
Location: San Antonio, TX | 100% On-Site


Position Summary: 

The Materials Control Associate I supports the movement, control, storage, and accuracy of materials throughout the manufacturing process. Responsibilities include receiving, stocking, kitting, inventory control, cycle counting, outside processing, shipping, material movement, and related ERP transactions. The position ensures materials are properly identified, traceable, stored, and delivered to the correct work center in accordance with BOM, work order, quality, and safety requirements 

Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities: 

1. Move received material to designated inventory locations and ensure proper storage and identification.

2. Pick and kit material per the Bill of Materials (BOM) requirements and complete all required ERP inventory transactions.

3. Perform stock checks, inventory verifications, and cycle counts; report and assist in resolving discrepancies.

4. Maintain control and traceability of material sent to suppliers for outside processing.

5. Support shipping activities, including packaging, documentation, shipment preparation, carrier scheduling, staging, and loading.

6. Maintain material identification and traceability throughout storage, kitting, movement, outside processing, and shipping activities.

7. Follow established procedures for handling, storage, preservation, and movement of aerospace materials and components.

8. Coordinate material requirements and issues with Planning, Production, Purchasing, and Quality.

9. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

10. Monitor shelf-life-controlled material and prevent expired material from being issued or used.

11. Move parts, materials, and kits to the next required work center or process in accordance with work order instructions, maintaining proper identification and traceability.

12. Maintain the tool crib as needed by issuing, receiving, organizing, and tracking tools and equipment, while ensuring accurate inventory, proper storage, and serviceable condition.

13. Follow company procedures, quality requirements, and safety policies.

Qualifications: 

1. Minimum education, High School Diploma or GED 

2. Warehouse environment experience (1 year minimum).

3. Experience with Inventory management processes (Cycle counts, physical inventory, adjustments, accuracy).

4. Familiar using ERP/MRP or any other Inventory Control System

5. Familiar with Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Power Point, Project, Outlook)

6. Must have a valid driver's license.

7. Forklift driving experience is a plus.
