If you are a MATERIALS professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! As a highly valued member of the FORNEY, TX team, this role will support the management of sub-assemblies.The analyst will be responsible for driving improvements in material turns, storage, packaging, and customer delivery. The position will require a significant interface with Suppliers, Customer Service, Production, Procurement, Quality, Engineering and Manufacturing. Material analysts will track and implement Engineering Change Notices (ECN) in the distribution center.The Analyst will be working as part of the team to ensure customer satisfaction and on-time delivery.

AS A MATERIALS ANALYST, YOU WILL:

  • Manage MRP to ensure timely receipt of materials to meet production schedules.

  • Track the progress of materials and expedite as required.

  • Manage Kanban's to meet production and inventory targets.

  • Manage the master schedule to meet demand and inventory targets.

  • Manage inventory levels to meet goals.

  • Key player to identify and resolve issues that impact on-time delivery.

  • Work in conjunction with production, customer service, sales, suppliers, and procurement to meet customer requirements including short LT and expedited requests.

  • Cross-trained in other positions in the department.

  • Other duties/projects as assigned by the Materials Manager.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience

  • 3 years experience in Materials Management

  • Strong computer skills and proficient in Excel

  • Capable of utilizing Lean tools such as Kanban, VSM, pull systems, demand-driven Supply Chain, and Perfect Execution strategies.

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Experience with MS Office Suite, and Enterprise Resource Program such as SAP, Oracle, or JDE.

  • Legal work authorization in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role now or in the future.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management preferred

  • Excellent communication skills in English / Spanish

  • Knowledge of ISO QMS

  • Knowledge of Manhattan WMS

SCHEDULE:

This is a first shift position with general working hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

LOCATION:

This role will help support our new distribution center in Forney, TX. The address is 13871 W US Highway 80 Frontage Road, Forney, TX 75126.
