Quality Control Analysts primarily test finished products or processes to verify quality standards are met. While both roles require similar certifications and work environments, Materials Analysts concentrate on materials' properties and sourcing, whereas Quality Control Analysts focus on product testing and defect identification.
A materials analyst uses software systems to plan supply chain and inventory management for a company. As a materials analyst, your job duties include assessing logistics performance, identifying ways to streamline the supply chain and lower shipping and storage costs, and finding new sources for materials. · Responsible for logging job releases, review releases for long lead items, and delegate them to junior analysts
