The Excellerate Material Supervisor is responsible for sustaining a safe work environment and leading a team of employees that support manufacturing through the efficient movement and tracking of materials. This position is also responsible for overseeing all activities and personnel in the Material Department.
The position requires a proactive leader with strong project management skills, a strategic vision, and a talent for collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence and foster business growth
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: 5+ years inventory management, or material handling experience with 3+ years of management experience
Travel: 0-10%
Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 6 am to 6 pm, or 6 pm to 6 am Monday through Friday. Works a sufficient schedule to meet the expectations of the role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Demonstrates and ensures all employees are following company Safety Policies.
  • Always keeping a clean and orderly work area according to 5S principles
  • Provide support for all projects, encompassing equipment, manpower, and material requirements
  • Resolves job material discrepancies and communicates resolution to job in a timely manner.
  • Trains new employees and identifies deficiencies
  • Provides Performance Evaluation Feedback.
  • Lead and influence plant employees to participate in the implementation of improvement projects.
  • Provides employee coaching and development - gives employee performance reviews.
  • Develop and continuously improve processes to improve the efficiency of moving and storing materials throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Ensures the established Receiving and Material Handling procedure are being followed by the department.
  • Facilitate communication regarding materials between Receiving, Production, and Shipping.
  • Analyze, calculates, and monitor inventory levels.
  • Monitors project schedules and proactively implement necessary adjustments to accommodate changes
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
