Job Title: Material Supervisor
Location: Kansas City, Kansas, On-Site.
Job Type: Full-Time.
Expected Hours: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM.
Compensation: $65K base salary + 12% bonus.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a Material Supervisor to lead material operations in Fairfax, KS. This role is responsible for supervising Material Technicians and supporting safe, efficient, and on-time service to customers. The ideal candidate will have strong logistics, warehouse, or manufacturing supervisory experience, preferably within automotive or JIT operations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise Material Technicians supporting shipping, receiving, and production operations.
  • Assist Operations and Material Coordinators with on-time shipments.
  • Ensure truck windows are maintained and customer shipment requirements are met.
  • Verify shipping paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
  • Monitor staffing levels, productivity, and overtime to meet operational goals.
  • Escalate issues that may impact safety, product assurance, facilities, customer satisfaction, or program performance.
  • Conduct Material Technician performance reviews and take appropriate disciplinary action when needed.
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and operational excellence.

Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or college degree.
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a high-volume manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Strong traffic, logistics, shipping, receiving, or material handling background.
  • Experience working in automotive manufacturing or with automotive suppliers preferred.
  • Working knowledge of material management systems such as CMMS, GMOS, WMS, SAP, or similar systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work fully on-site in Kansas City, KS.
  • Ability to work 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM with overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting Just-in-Time (JIT) manufacturing operations.
  • Automotive supply chain or sequencing experience.
  • Experience managing performance reviews, employee coaching, and disciplinary action.
  • Strong understanding of customer shipment requirements and transportation schedules.
