Job description

Raw Material Supervisor

MindSource is looking for a Raw Material Supervisor for our client in Dalton, GA. The Raw Material Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the receipt, inspection, storage, and inventory management of all raw materials used in the production process. This role ensures that materials meet quality standards, are stored safely, and are delivered to production on time to support uninterrupted operations. The supervisor will coordinate closely with procurement, quality control, and production teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily operations of raw material receiving, handling, and storage.
  • Ensure proper labeling, documentation, and traceability of all raw materials.
  • Monitor raw material levels and coordinate timely replenishment with the logistics team.
  • Verify material availability and prepare daily/weekly reports for production planning.

Quality & Compliance

  • Inspect incoming raw materials to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with Quality Control (QC) on sampling, testing, and approval processes.
  • Ensure proper segregation of non-conforming or expired materials.

Inventory Control

  • Maintain accurate stock records using WMS systems.
  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Implement FIFO/FEFO practices to reduce waste and ensure material freshness/quality.

Team Leadership

  • Supervise and train warehouse/raw material handling staff.
  • Assign daily tasks and monitor performance, safety, and compliance.

Safety & Housekeeping

  • Ensure raw material storage areas comply with safety, hygiene, and environmental standards.
  • Enforce proper use of PPE and safe material handling practices.
  • Oversee warehouse housekeeping and organization (5S implementation is a plus).

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bilingual: Korean and English
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control systems, and material handling.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Odoo, etc.) preferred.
  • Experience in raw material supervision or warehouse management is a plus.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
