Adecco is assisting a major client in their search for a Material Preparation Technician in Columbus, OH. This is a contract opportunity, offering weekly pay and an opportunity to expand your experience.   • Shift/Hours: Monday – Friday (7:00am – 3:00pm)

Job Description:

The Material Preparation Technician reviews and inspects incoming materials and uses various tools and equipment to maintain and ensure material quality.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Count inbound forms and verify against expected receipts. Properly document discrepancies and damages. Report such to supervisor/manager/lead.

  • Determine need for cleaning/oils. Sort as appropriate.

  • Safely operate hand tools to remove debris or damaged wood from forms.

  • Safely operate power tools, such as grinder or table grinders, to remove other debris/dirt from forms as determined to be needed.

  • Apply fresh form oil as deemed necessary using provided sprayers.

  • Pick outbound prepped forms for transfers and/or live customer orders as required/instructed.

  • Perform general shipping processes such as wrapping and applying proper shipping labels, producing BOLs, etc.

  • Perform general housekeeping responsibilities such as sweeping, mopping, etc as instructed/needed.

Candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered:

  • High School Diploma/GED

  • Able to lift 50lbs

  • Use all provided PPE as instructed/intended

  • Basic math such as counting, adding, and calculating area (length x width)

  • Safe use of water-based form oil and applicator
