This is more than a sales role. It's an opportunity to become the technical and commercial leader for our Semiconductor business. You'll build relationships with leading OEMs, end users, and key industry partners while helping engineers identify innovative thermoplastic material solutions for demanding semiconductor applications. What You'll Do
Drive Semiconductor Market Growth
  • Develop and execute growth strategies across key semiconductor applications, including wet processing, in-chamber, CMP, and backend test
  • Map the semiconductor market to identify OEMs, end users, and emerging business opportunities
  • Identify and prioritize strategic accounts and key decision-makers across engineering, procurement, and quality organizations
  • Monitor industry trends, certifications, and evolving application requirements to position Mitsubishi Chemical for long-term success
Become the Technical Sales Leader
  • Serve as the technical expert supporting Territory Managers and Regional Sales Managers on strategic customer opportunities
  • Generate and qualify new business opportunities while partnering with the commercial team to drive successful outcomes
  • Participate in customer meetings to provide application guidance, troubleshooting, and material recommendations
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline using Salesforce or a comparable CRM platform
  • Mentor sales professionals and channel partners on semiconductor applications, materials, and technical selling techniques
Deliver Technical Application Support
  • Help engineers and customers select materials based on application requirements, operating environment, chemical exposure, and manufacturability
  • Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications to recommend optimal material solutions
  • Support technical evaluations, customer qualifications, and specification changes from concept through implementation
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Product Management to solve complex customer challenges
Shape the Future of Advanced Materials
  • Gather Voice of the Customer insights to identify unmet needs and future material requirements
  • Partner with Product Development and R&D to help shape the next generation of semiconductor materials
  • Evaluate competitor materials and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation
  • Help influence long-term product strategy through customer and market intelligence
Expand Market Presence
  • Drive specification growth for Mitsubishi Chemical materials within semiconductor applications
  • Support Advanced Materials University (AMU) training programs for distributors and OEM customers
  • Build strong relationships throughout the semiconductor supply chain
  • Represent Mitsubishi Chemical as a trusted technical resource within the industry

What We're Looking For
  • 10+ years of experience supporting the semiconductor industry
  • Direct semiconductor equipment experience as an OEM engineer, equipment engineer, field service engineer, tool owner, or a similar hands-on technical role
  • Strong knowledge of semiconductor applications including wet processing, etch, CMP, and/or backend test
  • Experience with machined plastics, stock shape materials, or engineered plastic components preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Demonstrated project management experience supporting technical qualifications and specification changes
  • Self-starter with the ability to develop strategy and execute with minimal direction
  • Strong mentoring, coaching, and technical training skills
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and relationship-building abilities
  • Forward-thinking mindset with the ability to identify future customer and industry needs
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50%
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline preferred (or equivalent industry experience)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with high-performance thermoplastics and engineered materials
  • Existing relationships within the semiconductor industry
  • Experience supporting new product introductions and technical evaluations
  • Experience working with OEMs, distributors, and semiconductor manufacturers
  • Knowledge of CRM systems such as Salesforce

The salary range for this position is $110,200-$137,800 USD Annual. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
