The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for maintaining quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products; recording quality results.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for reading and interpreting various ASTM, ANSI, ASME, MSS and ISO Standards, Codes and specifications as they relate to technical requirements in the purchase orders.
Responsible for properly utilizing and interpreting precision measuring equipment, provide proper care and maintenance of same.
Assist in training appointed branch QA personnel to perform the duties of this position when unsupervised. May be required to travel to appropriate branch locations.
Accurately report completed work electronically, using MS Word, Excel, or database software and to utilize the internet to obtain Certified Test Reports whenever required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to use calibrated precision dimensional tools including micrometers and calipers. Familiarity with products.
Ability to read and interpret related, in-depth and complicated written specifications, codes, standards and procedures. Ability to prioritize various work assignments to ensure most critical items are inspected first.
Maintain inventory and service levels to meet all customer requirements. Accurately pick and prepare orders for shipment.
Ability to operate forklift. Clean driving record
Communication skills, both oral and written
Microsoft Office skills (Excel and Word)
Team player, good statistical and numerical ability and detail-oriented
