Description:

The Master Scheduler owns the creation and execution of the Master Production Schedule (MPS) for medical equipment lines, including long-term care and homecare beds. This role ensures perfect alignment between global demand and shop floor execution while strict regulatory and quality compliance are maintained.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule Management: Maintain the rolling Master Production Schedule (MPS).
  • Capacity Planning: Balance customer demand with shop floor capacity, labor, and machine constraints.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor raw material safety stock levels to minimize holding costs while avoiding production downtime.
  • System Execution: Run MRP/ERP systems, analyze exception messages, and maintain accurate planning parameters.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner with procurement, sales, and production teams to resolve material shortages and track on-time delivery
  • ECN: Implement Engineering Change Notices (ECN) regarding product line to include imputing part numbers into the ERP system and distribute the updated documentation to the floor.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Document and execute all scheduling adjustments in strict accordance with ISO 13485 and FDA medical device standards.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of production planning or manufacturing scheduling experience.
  • Technical Skills: High proficiency with ERP/MRP software and advanced Microsoft Excel.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with medical device manufacturing regulations preferred.
  • Certifications: APICS certification is considered a strong asset.
