Job description

Position Summary:

Develops, maintains, and oversees the master schedule to optimize workflow, inventory levels, and capacity. Bridges the gap between sales forecasting and production, ensuring on-time delivery by coordinating materials, staffing, and equipment using our ERP system.

Core Responsibilities

  • Production Scheduling: Creates and maintains the master production schedule (MPS) to align with sales forecasts and customer orders.

  • Capacity Planning: Evaluates manufacturing capacity (0-36 months) to determine material and resource requirements.

  • Inventory Management: Monitors inventory levels (raw materials and finished goods) to ensure adequate supply while minimizing excess.

  • Collaboration: Leads or participates in Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings with sales, purchasing, and manufacturing teams. Responsible for overseeing the activities of the Expeditor.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identifies and implements process improvements (e.g., Lean, Kaizen) to improve efficiency and on-time delivery (OTD).

  • ERP/Systems Management: Maintains data integrity within ERP systems (JobBOSS, SAP, Epicore) for accurate planning.

Key Qualifications

  • **Education:

    ** Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or relevant experience in the field.

  • **Experience:

    ** Previous experience in manufacturing, production planning, or supply chain management. Sheet metal fabrication experience is a bonus.

  • **Technical Skills:

    ** Proficiency in ERP systems (experience with JobBOSS is a bonus) and advanced Excel spreadsheet skills.

  • **Certifications:

    ** APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) is highly valued.

  • **Soft Skills:

    ** Strong analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and effective communication to

coordinate across departments.
