Job description


As an IT Director - Data Governance at Honeywell, you will lead and oversee key strategic direction and the execution of business initiatives within the Data Management and Data Governance function. You will play a pivotal role in establishing and monitoring, implementing and enforcing data governance processes and solutions to enable key business simplification and transformation projects, driving trust in data, and ensuring operational excellence and transactional data quality.
You will report directly to the Senior Director of IT - Data Analytics and Data Management, and work out of our Atlanta, GA location.
In this role, you will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise-wide master data governance policies in ERP and system of record platforms. This role involves working closely with extended business team of data stewards, data owners and a team of data architects and engineers to deliver robust MDG solutions.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and execute Data Governance strategies that align with business transformation objectives and enhance operational efficiency and simplification.

  • Partner with business and data leadership to define and operationalize the strategic roadmap for master data governance at source in ERP. Define, build and measure adoption of key data quality metrics for master, reference and transactional data across functions

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior executives to drive innovation and continuous improvement data governance capabilities.

  • Establish operational cadence to track and report on key metrics to ensure compliance with data standards, processes and policies

  • Oversee blueprint, design and implementation of MDG processes across functions. Align deployment goals with overall SAP and S/4 enterprise architecture and business objectives

  • Manage integration with downstream and upstream systems.

  • Manage key aspects like license agreements, Vendor relationships and external consultants.

  • Asses and evaluate new requirements in terms of data governance, data quality with ISP's, business leaders and extended teams and translate to digital solutions

  • Lead, guide, and mentor technical teams, solution architects, and integration leads.

  • Coordinate change management and communication across business and IT stakeholders.

Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Experience with Master, Reference Data model in SAP environment with Prior experience in deployment of MDG in S/4 environment

  • In depth understanding Master Data Governance frameworks. Experience in deploying MDG solutions for medium to large companies.

  • Deep understanding of data quality frameworks, metadata management, and data lifecycle management.

  • Experience with master data hubs, data modeling, workflow design, and data replication techniques.

  • Expertise in connecting MDG platforms with enterprise systems like ERP, CRM, and cloud data warehouses.

  • Ability to identify data migration bottlenecks, security compliance issues, and system downtime risks early.
