Job Summary
The Manager of Master Data – Food Service leads the governance, quality, and lifecycle management of enterprise master data across the Food & Beverage division. This role develops and maintains data governance standards to ensure accurate, consistent, and reliable data that supports operational excellence and business growth.

Working closely with Food Service, Merchandising, Finance, IT, and Field Operations, the Manager serves as the primary subject matter expert for SAP and master data systems, drives continuous improvement, and helps shape the enterprise data roadmap. The role also leads and develops a team of Master Data Analysts while promoting strong governance, accountability, and data integrity across the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage Master Data operations for the Food Service/Dining division, ensuring accurate, consistent, and timely master data across Data Central (DC) and SAP systems.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce data governance standards, policies, and processes to support operational, financial, and reporting needs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for Food Service master data, supporting stakeholders across Dining, Retail, Merchandising, Finance, IT, and Field Operations.
  • Oversee systems administration including systems support, data maintenance, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with crossfunctional teams to support SAP Dining initiatives, including data cleansing, validation, and deployment of dining sites from Data Central to SAP.
  • Deliver timely insights and customized reporting to support datadriven decisions related to growth, efficiency, and cost control.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Master Data team, including hiring, onboarding, training, and ongoing professional development.
  • Design and deliver training programs, toolkits, and documentation to support Data Central and SAP users, including new General Managers and field operations teams.
  • Maintain strong partnerships with Dining and Retail teams to ensure master data aligns with evolving business needs.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous learning, and data excellence across teams. 

Qualifications & Skills

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in Master Data Management within a Food Service, or Retail environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Food Service operations, including recipes, ingredients, and item setup.
  • Hands-on experience managing master data within SAP, Data Central or comparable master data systems.
  • Proven experience supporting data governance, data quality, and enterprise data standards.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, and developing teams in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong Excel skills and ability to consolidate large amounts of data from multiple sources, perform business analysis, draw conclusions, and present results in comprehensive format.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with SAP (Food Service, Materials, or related modules preferred).
  • Familiarity with cost management, COGS optimization, and inventory-related master data.
  • Experience collaborating with Finance, IT, Merchandising, and Field Operations teams.
