Job Overview

At Compass Group, our Master Data Management (MDM) team is at the heart of driving data excellence across our organization. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Product Manager to join our Client domain team and lead initiatives to create and maintain a client master.  As a Client Product Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping our MDM product strategy and driving the successful delivery of solutions related to client data management. You will be responsible for defining and executing the product roadmap, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring alignment with enterprise goals. Your expertise in data management principles and your ability to lead complex projects will be key to your success in this role.

Core Responsibilities
  • Strategic Roadmap Development: Develop and maintain a comprehensive Client data strategy and roadmap that aligns with our organization's data management goals and objectives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with data stewards, business users, and IT teams to gather requirements, understand the client business model, and ensure alignment with business objectives. Validate features, execute system and solution demos, and focus on delivering business value.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across teams to drive product development and manage product changes and updates.
  • Training and Education: Create training materials and conduct sessions to educate users on products, processes, and best practices.
  • Product Vision and KPIs: Define product vision, goals, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement and innovation. Lead story creation and requirement definition for the client team.
  • Technical Alignment: Work closely with development teams to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with product requirements.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle using SAFe methodologies, from concept and design to implementation and support. Manage product backlogs, prioritize features and enhancements, and ensure timely delivery of solutions.
  • Agile Coaching: Provide coaching and mentoring to development teams on SAFe Agile principles and practices. Participate in Agile ceremonies such as PI planning, feature grooming, and retrospectives.
  • Delivery Management: Efficiently manage multiple product development epics and features, ensuring successful outcomes. Oversee new features, enhancements, and launches while tracking key milestones to ensure timely delivery and strategic alignment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Travel: This role requires frequent travel to Charlotte, NC (20-30%)
  • Experience: 5+ years in IT product management, focusing on Master Data Management or related disciplines. Minimum 4 years as a Product Manager.
    Client Data Management: Experience working with vendor or client/customer data creation and maintenance is highly desirable.
  • CRM and Contract Knowledge: CRM experience is a plus. Experience with sales and client onboarding processes is highly desirable. Understanding Contract management and customer hierarchies is a plus. 
  • SAFe Expertise: Strong knowledge and experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). SAFe certification (e.g., SAFe Agilist, SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager) is highly desirable.
  • Food Industry Experience: Experience in the food industry or similar is highly desirable. 
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and lead complex enterprise projects.
  • Data Management: Exceptional knowledge of data management best practices, including MDM concepts, data governance, and data quality frameworks.
  • Tools and Technologies: Familiarity with product management tools such as ADO, ServiceNow and Miro. Experience with Business Process Automation tools is a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Experience presenting to non-technical and technical stakeholders.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to use data and metrics to drive product decisions.
