Bringing Home the Dough
Assist supervisors in the operations of shift production. Position requires demonstration of competency for all on-the-job activities that may have a direct or indirect affect on product safety, legality and/or quality.
Rising to the Challenge: Position Responsibilities
• Ensure that production employees are instructed and trained in the care and safe operations of equipment.
• Review records and procedures to ensure proper use of time and materials. Preform continuous inspection of products to ensure quality standards are met.
• Ensure that all equipment is in good operating condition.
• Promote positive relations and interdepartmental communication and cooperation.
• Position may be responsible for operating the facility metal detector(s). For this job responsibility, operator must be fully trained and certified.
• Ensure a safe working environment for all personnel through enforcement of safety policies and procedures, including inspections and periodic safety meetings, etc.
• May occasionally work in place of employees out sick, on vacation, etc.
• Plan and adjust work assignments of personnel to cover all phases of production.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area.
• Ensure compliance with all company rules, policies and procedures (EEO, Sexual Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.).
• Perform other duties as directed by supervision.
• Complete AIB Master Baker Correspondence Course.
• Performance of other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures
Knead to Know: Preferred Qualifications
• Two (2) or more years experience in all areas of plant production work.
