Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Kalthia Group Hotels. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc.  The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel's employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment.  If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.

Position Summary
 
The Director of Sales is responsible for leading all sales and revenue-generating activities for the hotel. This position develops and executes strategic sales plans to maximize occupancy, increase revenue, and strengthen the hotel's presence in the local market. The Director of Sales works closely with the General Manager and Marriott revenue and sales teams to achieve business goals while delivering exceptional guest service.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans to achieve revenue and occupancy goals.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities in corporate, group, government, leisure, and negotiated accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Conduct hotel site tours, client meetings, and sales presentations.
  • Prospect through cold calls, networking, sales missions, and community involvement.
  • Prepare and negotiate contracts for group bookings and corporate accounts.
  • Collaborate with Marriott's revenue management team to maximize ADR, RevPAR, and occupancy.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify business opportunities.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and monthly performance reports.
  • Represent the hotel at trade shows, networking events, and community organizations.
  • Work closely with Operations, Front Office, and Catering teams to ensure successful execution of group business and exceptional guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate client records and sales activity using Marriott systems and CRM tools.
  • Ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards and company policies.
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of hotel sales experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Marriott hotel experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to achieve revenue and sales goals.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel sales, revenue management, and market segmentation.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Marriott sales systems (CI/TY, GXP, or similar platforms preferred).

The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000 annually, based on qualifications, experience, and overall fit for the role.
 
This position is also eligible for a performance-based bonus.
