Rowe Price, Visa, Mastercard, Robinhood Ventures, Sequoia, Salesforce Ventures, DST Global, and Lone Pine Capital, Airwallex is leading the charge in building the global payments and financial platform of the future. If you're ready to do the most ambitious work of your career, join us.
Attributes We Value
We hire successful builders with founder-like energy who want real impact, accelerated learning, and true ownership. You bring strong role-related expertise and sharp thinking, and you're motivated by our mission and operating principles. You move fast with good judgment, dig deep with curiosity, and make decisions from first principles, balancing speed and rigor.
You're humble and collaborative; turn zero‑to‑one ideas into real products, and you "get stuff done" end-to-end. You use AI to work smarter and solve problems faster. Here, you'll tackle complex, high‑visibility problems with exceptional teammates and grow your career as we build the future of global banking. If that sounds like you, let's build what's next.
We're hiring a Director of GTM Engineering leader to own and transform the technology backbone of our go-to-market engine. This role sits at the intersection of our Data & AI, Revenue, and Growth teams.
Your mandate: evolve our stack from high-performing to best-in-class - more automated, easier to monitor, and tightly connected to our Data & AI platform.
What You'll Do
Own the GTM architecture end-to-end
  • Take technical ownership of Salesforce (revenue and CRM), Marketo, and connected tools including Demandbase, data enrichment, the data warehouse, analytics, and sales engagement platforms.
  • Define and maintain a clear target architecture for how ads, web, marketing technology, CRM, data, and AI systems work together.

Make the stack AI- and experiment-ready
  • Streamline how signals and events flow from ad platforms through Marketo and Salesforce into reporting - standardizing integrations and patterns along the way.
  • Design the foundations for AI-powered growth: reliable event streams, data contracts, and APIs that support AI agents and analytics.

Build and lead the team
  • Hire and lead a small, high-caliber engineering pod focused on revenue and marketing systems.
  • Own a roadmap that balances quick wins (smoother automation, cleaner lead flows, clearer attribution) with longer-term platform investments.

Partner deeply with GTM stakeholders
  • Work with Growth Product, Growth Marketing, Revenue Systems, and regional Revenue Operations to turn GTM strategies into scalable systems and data flows.
  • Improve lead routing, experimentation frameworks, ideal customer profiling, and lifecycle management across the funnel.

Raise the bar on quality and reusability
  • Set standards for data governance, tracking, attribution, retention, and privacy/deletion workflows across tools.
  • Implement monitoring, alerting, and QA so the health of GTM systems is transparent and issues surface early.
  • Shift from one-off campaign builds to reusable templates, components, and integration patterns.
Who You Are
  • GTM systems engineering leader. 15+ years in software or data engineering with experience owning or building GTM, revenue, or marketing systems for high-growth B2B SaaS, fintech, or similar environments.
  • Hands-on architect who ships. Comfortable with APIs, data models, workflow engines, and code. You can design systems, run reviews, and still contribute production-quality work.
  • Salesforce and marketing automation expert. You've built or significantly improved lead routing, attribution, lifecycle funnels, and data enrichment in Salesforce, and integrated Marketo (or equivalent) with CRM and downstream data systems.
  • Data- and experimentation-native. You partner well with Data teams on metrics, attribution, and experimentation, designing GTM tooling around feedback loops and continuous learning.
  • Cross-functional leader. You translate executive-level goals into clear roadmaps and milestones, earning trust with senior leaders, Revenue Operations, and individual contributors across Engineering, Marketing, and Sales.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 10+ years in software and/or data engineering, including 5+ years owning or building GTM, revenue, or marketing systems.
  • Proven technical ownership across Salesforce, marketing automation (Marketo or similar), and data/analytics platforms.
  • Strong system design skills and hands-on experience with APIs, data pipelines, and workflow engines.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead small, high-impact engineering teams and deliver complex GTM system improvements.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management with senior business and technical partners.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in fintech, payments, or financial infrastructure - ideally with regulatory and data-localization exposure.
  • Prior work with AI/ML-driven GTM (e.g., AI agents for analytics, lead scoring, or workflow automation).
  • Experience standing up a new function or team (e.g., Revenue Systems Engineering, Marketing Tech Engineering) from an early stage.
  • Background in high-growth, experimentation-driven environments with tight feedback loops between Product, Data, and GTM.
