Job description

Senior Manager, Outbound Marketing Strategy & Operations - Performance Marketing (Click-Based Outbound) Hybrid
As the Senior Manager of Performance Marketing (Click-Based Outbound), you will lead the strategy, optimization, and scaling of our direct response, high-growth paid acquisition channels, specifically Google Demand Gen, Yahoo Mail, and Discover Feed. You will directly manage an in-house team of performance marketing associates, overseeing day-to-day campaign operations, performance pacing, and well-managed processes across our click-based outbound portfolio.
You are both a strategic architect and an operational leader, capable of building channel roadmaps, designing disciplined creative and landing page testing frameworks, and guiding your team to execute error-free, conversion-focused campaigns.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee our portfolio of outbound acquisition channels, specifically owning Google Demand Gen, Yahoo Mail, and the Discover Feed:
    • Serving as the central point of contact for external platform reps and media partners.
    • Answering ad-hoc strategic questions from internal business partners and external vendors.
    • Managing and strengthening partner relationships with Google and Yahoo to ensure account teams bring maximum value through services, betas, and strategic guidance.
  • Monitor performance and competitive trends to optimize active channels and drive growth:
    • Evaluating platform performance trends, industry updates, and new features across Google Demand Gen, Yahoo Mail, and Discover Feed.
    • Building and managing multi-quarter channel roadmaps, including creative testing, ad format pilots, landing page testing, and campaign optimization.
    • Managing contractual terms, insertion orders (IOs), and platform agreements.
    • Supporting technical tracking, pixel setups, and data partner integrations to ensure accurate conversion measurement.
  • Manage the creative development and testing process to drive conversion-focused assets:
    • Partnering closely with internal brand marketing teams, design agencies, and external resources to produce high-performing email ad assets.
    • Acting as a performance creative consultant, translating channel-specific data into clear creative briefs for direct response campaigns designed strictly for conversion rather than awareness.
  • Ensure all channels meet compliance, legal, and operational requirements:
    • Auditing active campaigns to ensure strict adherence to existing compliance processes while advancing a well-managed agenda across all outbound launches.
    • Liaising with internal risk, legal, and compliance teams to document workflows, secure required approvals, and quickly remediate any campaign or operational issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to drive the overall acquisition strategy:
    • Partnering with business analytics teams to refine tracking, measure multi-touch attribution, and evaluate overall campaign effectiveness.
    • Aligning with Brand and Product teams to support new product launches and scale acquisition opportunities across the enterprise.
    • Overseeing monthly budget management, forecasting, performance pacing, and billing processes for high-volume accounts.
    • Guiding the team to document operational processes, eliminate errors, and continuously seek ways to automate campaign execution workflows.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience.
  • At least 7 years of experience in digital marketing, performance marketing, or paid acquisition.
  • At least 3 years of experience managing paid media strategies and optimizing growth channels, with a specific focus on Google Demand Gen, Yahoo Mail, or paid email and display direct response networks.
  • At least 3 years of experience directly leading, training, and developing a team of performance marketers.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in performance marketing, direct response acquisition, or display marketing managing large media budgets.
  • 4+ years of experience directly leading and developing high-performing teams of performance marketing associates.
  • Proven track record of designing testing frameworks, creative, landing page, audience, and successfully scaling paid acquisition channels into core business drivers.
  • Deep understanding of performance marketing conversion frameworks, tracking infrastructure, and navigating cookie-less measurement alongside analytics teams.
  • Experience managing a high-volume performance creative pipeline, translating engagement metrics into creative iterations, and maintaining brand safety parameters.
  • Strong experience navigating strict compliance, legal, and risk frameworks within a highly regulated corporate environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex campaign data into clear business insights and strategic roadmaps for leadership.
