In marketing, a “channel” is a route through which a manufacturer sells their product. As a channel marketing manager, your job is to establish new channel partnerships to help maximize sales, and therefore profit. Your responsibilities include fostering strong relationships with each channel partner, such as wholesalers and retailers, and seizing each opportunity to develop a new profitable partnership. You must also work with other departments to establish guidelines for channel partnerships that best suit the company. You need at least a bachelor’s degree in marketing for this career.
