Summary:
This position assists with activities that fulfill the marketing and communications needs of UNC Health and the UNC School of Medicine. The Communications Specialist will primarily support communications for the UNC School of Medicine Office of the Dean and the UNC Department of Urology and will support other areas and projects as assigned.
Responsibilities:
  1. Write, edit and post content on external-facing websites using WordPress tools and HTML, and use Google Analytics to evaluate content engagement for successes and opportunities.
  2. Support internal communications.
  3. Support leader communications.
  4. Collaborate with unit leaders and colleagues on developing strategic marketing and communications plans, which will focus on reputation building, program engagement, recruitment and retention, event attendance and more.
  5. Collaborate with colleagues across the communications and marketing enterprise, including photography, videography, social media, media relations, graphic design, and more, to advance content highlighting mission successes.
