POSITION SUMMARY

The incumbent in this position is responsible for assisting in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of various marketing programs and functions including the coordination of promotions, special events, advertising, entertainment, and public relations.ย  This position coordinates the schedules of various contract and intern personnel.

  • In conjunction with Director of Marketing, develops promotional concepts/themes, customer offers, special events, and criteria to qualify players; obtains approval from affected departments for coupons and/or discounts offered.
  • Communicates with all departments relative to the elements and specific impacts of special events and promotions.
  • Interfaces with advertising agency for promotions, special events, direct mail programs, coupon specials, customer incentives, media needs, and all advertising including signage and collateral materials, both on property and off-site; coordinates all aspects of programs and projects ensuring timely completion of projects according to requestors' needs and successful execution of programs.
  • Researches and gathers information on expos, parades, and trade shows and makes recommendations; attends these events, schedules other necessary employees, and orders all materials/supplies.
  • Works closely with personnel to promote programs through promotions and events in order to expand customer base and increase participation.
  • Coordinates dissemination of public relations articles and news releases, ensuring accuracy of content and timely distribution.
  • ย Assists with the development of community relations and governmental programs and strategies; attends various off-site functions as a representative of Pinnacle Entertainment, Inc. (meetings, mixers, receptions, events, etc.) as authorized by supervisor.
  • Responsible for tracking all marketing programs including promotions, special events, direct mail, charter bus programs, etc.; creates reports with cost analysis and program evaluation; reviews and discusses results with supervisor in order to improve, change, and/or enhance programs.
  • Coordinates entertainers' press releases, photo sessions, and hotel arrangements; prepares and distributes entertainment schedule.
  • Attends meetings/events to network and increase PENN Entertainment's visibility.

    This knowledge and these abilities are typically acquired through Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field and two years experience with advertising, promotions, public relations, or closely related field.
