Risk Desk Associate

GTS is currently seeking a talented Risk Desk Associate to join the risk team of our FX Market Making trading division. This role requires a strong interest in financial markets and the technology that supports it.   A qualified candidate would have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. You will work directly with the business to support our trading teams to ensure all issues are resolved in a timely and professional manner. The required working hours for this position are APAC trading hours (overnight US and UK).

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a first responder to risk/technology events
  • Provide risk and production support for the algo trading teams
  • Execute orders or control algos

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or business
  • Collegiate level or higher understanding of computer systems such as networking and operating systems
  • Collegiate level or higher experience of Python
  • Collegiate level understanding of financial markets and trading
  • Exposure to futures and OTC FX
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work across multiple teams in highly collaborate, entrepreneurial environment
  • Development experience in the financial services sector
  • Knowledge of R, Python, Golang, Bash or relevant language

In accordance with New York City's Pay Transparency Law, the base salary range for this role is $60,000 to $75,000. Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits.
