Job description

Salary Range: Up to $200k base + bonus
Locations: New York City, Chicago or Austin
My client is a tech-focused market-maker with groundbreaking success in the high frequency trading space, looking to hire Software Engineers for their HFT team focused on designing, improving and executing fully automated trading strategies using machine learning.
In this role, you'll own complex technical projects and help shape the direction of the trading infrastructure. As a software engineer at this firm, you'll work on some of the most challenging algorithmic problems in the world. The team owns the problem end to end - from data to simulation to the execution of orders in production - and the system is built to be robust, enabling research at scale while running complex ML models with low latency across thousands of financial instruments.

Skills and Experience Required
  • 2+ years preferred of C++ experience in low-latency systems, such as market data ingestion, order routing, execution performance, or simulation frameworks
  • Strong engineering instincts plus a deep understanding of computer science fundamentals
  • Expertise in C++ is strongly preferred; experience with C, Python or Linux is a plus
  • Innovative, out-of-the-box thinking grounded in real-world pragmatism
  • Readiness to set technical direction, promote engineering principles, and do the right thing
  • Candidates must have US citizenship/Greencard or a valid H1B/TN Visa
