This position is seasonal with flexible start and end dates. We will consider both full time and part time applicants.


By ensuring storage boats are picked up and delivered to customers’ homes/docks in a manner that exceeds their high expectations, our Boat Yard Operations Associate is a critical link to maintaining our high customer loyalty. The transport of boats from the dealership to the water often includes launching and delivery to customer docks.


Job Duties / Responsibilities

  • Follows all safety precautions and procedures at all times
  • Picks up and delivers storage boats to and from customer’s homes/docks Ensures that no damage is done to boat during handling
  • Performs a final check of operation and cleanliness of boat and reports any concern to service manager in writing
  • Covers all boats after operation
  • Tag all storage boats with customer name
  • Constantly looking for work needed on boats and reports to the service manager & operations manager.
  • Maintains a copy of storage contracts on boats they are handling at all times and proof that the service requested has been completed before delivery
  • Ensures efficiency by routing boats in a time conscious manner
  • Follows delivery checklist
  • Reports any missing/damaged items in writing to service manager
  • Documents/Photographs boat and location on all boats picked up for storage and files data
  • Maintains company vehicles to the highest standard
  • Ensures all equipment is in good working condition at all times
  • Reports all damaged or malfunctioning equipment to shop foreman
  • Attends department meetings as required
  • Assist with boat racking (spotting, trailer parking, etc.)
  • Performs other related duties as assigned


Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Boating/trailering experience and prior marine dealership experience helpful
  • Professional appearance
  • Be team-oriented, self-motivated, and process driven
  • Have a valid state driver’s license
  • Forklift experience is a plus
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background/drug screen
