In the United States, the Marine Corps is a distinct branch of the armed forces known for its rigorous training, rapid-response capabilities, and readiness to deploy anywhere in the world. Marines often serve as the first line of defense in combat situations and are skilled in a variety of military tactics and operations. Their duties can also include humanitarian and disaster relief missions. Becoming a Marine requires passing challenging physical and mental tests, as well as completing specialized training.
