What is a Marine?

Marines are members of a military branch specializing in amphibious operations, meaning they are trained to fight both on land and at sea. In the United States, the Marine Corps is a distinct branch of the armed forces known for its rigorous training, rapid-response capabilities, and readiness to deploy anywhere in the world. Marines often serve as the first line of defense in combat situations and are skilled in a variety of military tactics and operations. Their duties can also include humanitarian and disaster relief missions. Becoming a Marine requires passing challenging physical and mental tests, as well as completing specialized training.

What do marine technicians do?

Marine technicians, also known as marine mechanics, maintain and repair many varieties of boats. They use diagnostic machinery to test boat engines, propellers, masts, navigational equipment, and other areas that may need repair.
