Job Description

Marine Federal Credit Union is seeking a Legal Collection Representative to support bankruptcy and legal collections operations. This position manages bankruptcy cases, judgments, and legal collections accounts while ensuring compliance with applicable federal and state regulations. The role requires regular communication with courts, trustees, attorneys, collection agencies, members, and internal departments to maintain accurate accounts and protect the credit union’s financial interests.

Responsibilities

  • Manage bankruptcy and legal collections accounts, including judgments and charge‑offs
  • Review legal filings and prepare required documentation
  • Communicate with attorneys, trustees, courts, collection agencies, and members
  • Update accounts; manage payments, payoffs, settlements, and invoices
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Collections, bankruptcy, or financial institution experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM.
