Customer Service Representative - Part-Time, Bilingual English/Spanish
Marin Humane | Animal Services Division
Are you passionate about animals and providing compassionate, exceptional customer service? Marin Humane is looking for a bilingual Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our Animal Services team!
As a CSR, you'll be an important first point of contact for our community, assisting visitors and callers while providing support with a variety of animal-related services. You'll work in a fast-paced shelter environment where every day brings something different-and where your work directly supports animals and the people who care about them.
Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required.
Customer Service Representative - Part-Time, Bilingual English/Spanish
Marin Humane | Animal Services Division

As a CSR, you'll be an important first point of contact for our community, assisting visitors and callers while providing support with a variety of animal-related services. You'll work in a fast-paced shelter environment where every day brings something different-and where your work directly supports animals and the people who care about them.
Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required.
What You'll Do
• Welcome and assist visitors and respond to incoming calls and inquiries.
• Provide information about Marin Humane services, programs, policies, and applicable ordinances.
• Assist with animal surrenders, stray intake, lost-and-found reports, reunification efforts, and animal redemptions.
• Process dog licenses, microchip services, and related records using shelter software.
• Provide compassionate guidance to clients during difficult or emotional situations.
• Work compassionately and safely with animals, including those who may be fearful, injured, or potentially dangerous.
• Maintain accurate records and complete data entry related to Animal Services activities.
• Assist with emergency boarding, rabies-related processes, dispatch support, and occasional community events.
• Support disaster response activities as needed.
What We're Looking For
Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Customer service experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Strong computer, data-entry, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and compassionate in challenging or emotionally charged situations.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Compassion for animals and an interest in animal welfare.
• Animal experience is preferred.
Schedule & Compensation
Part-Time: 28 hours/week | Weekend availability required
$25.90/hour-$28.77/hour + $1.00/hour Spanish-speaking differential
