Skills Required

Primary (Must-Have)

• 3–5 years of experience managing facilities and/or manufacturing projects (non-IT).
• Proven experience leading projects from initiation through completion.
• Experience managing office renovations, warehouse projects, manufacturing initiatives, or facility improvement projects.
• Strong project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution skills.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and third-party vendors.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to independently manage multiple concurrent projects with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving and risk management capabilities.
• Experience preparing project plans, status reports, business requirements, and project documentation.
• Proficiency with standard Project Management tools (MS Project, Asana, or similar).

Position Overview

The Manufacturing Project Manager will lead multiple high-impact facilities and manufacturing projects at the client's Pewaukee campus. This is a hands-on project leadership role focused on driving execution rather than supporting project activities.

The successful candidate will oversee an office remodel, a large-scale document digitization initiative, and a warehouse redesign while coordinating cross-functional teams, managing vendors, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Roles & Responsibilities

Project Leadership

• Lead multiple concurrent facilities and manufacturing projects from initiation through completion.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, deliverables, and timelines.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders and vendors.
• Ensure projects meet quality, budget, and schedule objectives.

Facilities & Manufacturing Projects

• Manage a campus-wide office remodel affecting approximately 85 employees.
• Lead a document digitization initiative, including document evaluation, cataloging, archiving, and secure destruction.
• Oversee warehouse redesign activities to improve operational efficiency.
• Coordinate project execution with engineering, operations, customer service, and applications teams.

Team & Vendor Management

• Lead cross-functional teams consisting of engineering, customer service, operations, and business stakeholders.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and external vendors.
• Monitor vendor performance and escalate issues when necessary.
• Assign project responsibilities and maintain balanced resource allocation throughout each project phase.

Planning, Reporting & Documentation

• Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, timelines, and status reports.
• Maintain project documentation, business requirements, change logs, and project artifacts.
• Track project milestones, risks, and deliverables.
• Communicate project updates to leadership and stakeholders.

Risk Management & Continuous Improvement

• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Resolve project issues proactively to minimize business disruption.
• Ensure compliance with organizational standards and document management requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement throughout project execution.

Minimum Qualifications

• 3–5 years of Project Management experience supporting facilities and/or manufacturing environments.
• Demonstrated success leading multiple concurrent projects.
• Strong organizational, planning, and leadership skills.
• Experience managing vendors and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with project scheduling and reporting tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Manufacturing or industrial facilities project management experience.
• Warehouse redesign or facility improvement experience.
• Experience leading office renovation or relocation projects.
• Experience managing document digitization initiatives.
• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies.
• PMP Certification (preferred but not required).

Travel Requirements

• Minimal travel required.
• Work will primarily be performed across facilities located on the same campus.
