L3Harris' Communications and Spectrum Dominance segment is currentlyย seekingย aย Manufacturing Technician C to join our team. This position will be based at our Salt Lake City, Utah facility.ย This person will contribute to the company's success by performingย assembly operations on a variety of LRU's (Line Replaceable Units), CCA's (Circuit Card Assemblies) and System products. This role will report directly to the Manufacturing Supervisor andย is responsible forย successfully assembling or repairing L3Harris products for delivery.
Essential Functions:
- Completes manufacturingย assemblyย in compliance with quality specifications, providing mentoring toย lower levelย techniciansย
- Experience assemblingย electro-mechanical productsย using hand toolsย (screwdrivers, wrenches, socket drivers,ย torque drivers, crimping tools)ย ย
- Implements and provides feedback for operation sequence, and the ability to achieve manufacturing requirements and specificationsย
- Experienceย solderingย electro-mechanical components (CCA, cable build)ย
- Corrects manufacturing failures byย making adjustments, or replacing parts or components as directedย
- Performs continuous improvement projects targeting waste affecting product quality, cost, and schedule or other items of value to the businessย
- Maintain professional standards of performance, demeanor, and judgmentย at all timesย as detailed incompany policy and procedureย
- Assist Manufacturing Process Engineering on trends, rootย causesย and corrective actionsย
- Adherence to L3Harris policies and procedures, including but not limited to, calibration of equipment, ESD (electrostatic discharge), FOD (foreign object debris/damage) and general housekeeping.ย
- Works under limited supervisionย
- Other responsibilities as assigned by Managementย
ย Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum ofย 6years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degreeย with 2 years of prior related experience.ย
ย Preferred Additional Skills:
- Support OT (nights, weekends, extended hours) as needed to meet schedule requirements and businessย needsย
- Experience in prototype and first time build processesย
- Knowledgeable in manufacturing process improvement through adoption of more efficient methods using tools such as, lean, six sigma, just do it, and TOC techniques Demonstrated ability toย comprehendย schematics, logic drawings, layouts, wire lists, and printsย
- Able toย lift upย to 32 lbs. independentlyย
- Experience with SAP, SAPME,ย TeamCenterย enterprise resource planning and lifecycle management softwareย
