What you will do:

The Recyclable Materials Handler is responsible for collecting, sorting, and properly disposing of recyclable materials and waste throughout the facility. This role ensures recyclable materials are handled safely, facilities remain clean and organized, and materials are removed in a timely manner. The position requires the safe operation of material handling and recycling equipment, the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, and the completion of assigned work within established timelines while supporting a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.

Some key responsibilities for the Recyclable Materials Handler:

  • Collect all recyclable material and trash from all areas and departments
  • Separate all recyclable material into the proper container or storage bin
  • Communicate with supervisor about recycling and trash for timely pick-up and delivery of containers
  • Operate equipment, such as electric and manual pallet jacks, cardboard compactor, Powered Industrial Trucks, and baler
  • Capability of doing multi-task jobs
  • Accomplishment of scheduled work within established times
  • Other duties as assigned
