Job responsibilities
  • Focuses on designing, developing and implementing new or revised production processes for the efficient and economical mass production of goods including designing fixtures, jigs and tooling.
  • Supports manufacturing in troubleshooting and problem solving on complex projects.
  • Evaluates procedures looking for ways to continually improve processes.
  • Provides technical assistance to Marketing, Technology, Service Parts, Field Service and other Engineering personnel.
  • Generates new ideas for product improvement, reliability and cost reduction.
  • Provides input to the design of the sequence of production operations Drafts procedures for the fabrication of applicable tools and equipment, and adapting machinery in response to factory conditions
  • Provides input to product design engineering on technical specifications that will best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques
  • Initiates, identifies and conducts product cost improvement activities across manufacturing
  • Provides input to supply chain development and project teams to ensure product quality and cost is met
  • Works with internal stake holders to optimize product design for manufacturability and reduce logistic cost
  • Ensures that production processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
  • Supports manufacturing with welding specifications and weld joint design.
  • Reverse engineering parts for rebuild and repair.
  • Promotes a culture of personal and team safety
What you bring
  • Four years of technical degree with 5+ years manufacturing experience or equivalent combination.
  • May require specialized work experience related to product line or discipline including Centrifuges and vibrating screens.
  • Must be at an expert level in use of computer aided drafting system and personal computers using company standard software.
  • May require knowledge of scheduling software and specialized engineering software including Solidworks.
  • Ability to create, read and interpret drawings and specifications including SOPs.
  • Requires extensive knowledge of machining, welding, fabrication and assembly techniques.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication, leadership skills and ability to work well in a team atmosphere.
