Collins Aerospace is looking for a Manufacturing Engineering NDT Technician for the Heated Composites product line. This role will allow you to learn procedures and strategies associated with process improvements in a team-based aerospace environment. The skills acquired allow for possible progression to project management and leadership.
What You Will Do:
  • Non-destructive bond testing, level 1 limited
  • Programming NDT test equipment
  • Manufacturing instruction creation and maintenance
  • Manufacturing bill of materials & router maintenance
  • Engineering change order/manufacturing change order creation
  • Development of manufacturing process improvements improving capacity and throughput
  • Works autonomously with limited supervision within a team and alongside production personnel
  • Influences others within the work area through explanation of facts, policies and practices

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Associates Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM). Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science preferred.
  • A successful candidate will maintain and improve product profitability and yield, reducing SRR and operating costs where possible.
  • Ability to develop and implement production manufacturing instructions using technical writing skills.
  • Test and review product using nondestructive test methods, specific to bond testing. Including programming of test equipment and review of test reports
  • Ability to modernize the current Heated Composite's manufacturing process to reduce labor times and increase productivity while simultaneously reducing our current reliance on WIP and inventory.

The salary range for this role is 53,100 USD - 100,900 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
