Job description

Location: Urbana, IA
At Clickstop, we are seeking highly motivated, detail-oriented individuals to join our fast-paced manufacturing team as a Manufacturing Associate. This role blends hands-on sewing line operations with efficient packaging responsibilities, offering a dynamic opportunity to contribute across multiple areas of production. You'll be instrumental in assembling USCC transportation products, packing orders with precision, and supporting continuous improvement across all operations.
Hours and Compensation
Full-time schedule: Monday - Thursday, 7:00am-4:00pm and Friday, 7:00am-1:00pm
Full-time starting pay: $17.00 - 20.00/hr based on experience

What's Expected:
To remain agile, team members will be cross-trained and expected to contribute outside their areas of expertise. All team members will begin their training in strap manufacturing/packing and remain until a satisfactory knowledge of our products is acquired. We produce a wide range of products, so attention to detail, and the ability to remain focused in a repetitive environment is critical.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Regular team lifting of materials over 60 lbs in accordance with safety guidelines.
  • Sit or stand for the majority of the shift.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and twisting.
  • Operate hand tools and material handling equipment safely.
  • Perform repetitive tasks with hands and arms.
Primary areas of focus within our Manufacturing:
Tie Down (Strap Manufacturing)
  • Read and understand work orders.
  • Audit orders for accuracy.
  • Operate automatic sewing machines to assemble transportation tie-down straps.
  • Maintain productivity by meeting daily output requirements.
  • Perform repetitive motions while seated for extended periods of time.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Sew straps using manufacturing procedures in an efficient manner.

Tie Down Packing
  • Maintain order accuracy through proper documentation and organization.
  • Pack numerous different orders efficiently and accurately off of a conveyor belt, ensuring products are prepared for shipment in a timely manner.
  • Lift 50ilbs repeatedly. Able to bend, kneel, stand, and squat repetitively for long periods of time.
  • Utilizing NetSuite and ShipHawk software to manage production records, entering completion data, building work orders and updating inventory.
  • Follow Lean manufacturing principles to help reduce waste and improve efficiency in packing and overall processes.
  • Communicating effectively with team members and working to ensure a smooth flow of operations.
  • Comfortable working in a high-speed, fast-paced environment with frequent task changes.

Cargo Nets
  • Read and understand work orders.
  • Audit orders for accuracy.
  • Operate automatic sewing machines to assemble cargo nets.
  • Maintain productivity by meeting daily output requirements.
  • Perform repetitive motions while seated for extended periods of time.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Sew straps using manufacturing procedures in an efficient manner.
  • Pack cargo nets: must be able to bend, kneel, stand, and squat repetitively for long periods of time.

Nylon Slings
  • Read and understand work orders.
  • Audit orders for accuracy.
  • Operate sewing machines to assemble transportation Nylon Slings.
  • Maintain productivity by meeting daily output requirements.
  • Perform repetitive motions while seated for extended periods of time.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Sew straps using manufacturing procedures in an efficient manner.
  • Pack nylon slings: Must be able to bend, kneel, stand, and squat repetitively for long periods of time.

As a growing team, you should be prepared to perform other duties as assigned at any time.
Equipment
Ability to learn/operate powered industrial equipment, such as industrial sewing machines, cutters, winders, stand-up and sit-down forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, etc.
