Job description

Location: Manufacturing Administrator/ Production Assistant - Edgerton, KS
We are mixing up something new in Edgerton, KS. This is an exciting time to join our team. We hold ourselves to the highest of quality standards. The Dot's Pretzels brand has seen an enormous amount of growth, so we are looking for employees to become part of our team in the Edgerton, KS location.
Pay:
  • Starting at $23.75/hr
  • Shift differential of $2/hr for overnight shifts
  • Up to $1/hr pay increase after 6 months of good standing employment

Job Summary:
Responsible for coordinating activities for the shift supervisors as it relates to shift paperwork, compliance, and daily shift activities by performing various duties.
Duties, Responsibilities and Essential Functions
  • Ensure all shift paperwork (production and quality related) is complete, accurate, and submitted on time. (Examples include first case verifications, attendance, sanitation documentation, & 5S daily check sheets)
  • Check and document daily call-offs and inform supervision of this information
  • Responsible for monitoring the weekly overtime requirements and review with shift supervision
  • Post weekly overtime
  • Assist employees with required computer-based training
  • Provide administrative support to Supervisors and Trainers
  • Assist with the organization and tracking of Contingent labor
  • Assist with the daily tracking of KPI's and Shift Variation Reports
  • Responsible for compiling and submitting the daily end-of-shift report
  • Enter all S4 SAP data including but not limited to, downtime and waste.
  • Assist and/or lead Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Ensure WIP, Bulk, and Rework procedures are followed and assist in keeping areas organized and product is timely used or removed
  • Assist with reviewing daily timeclock punches and monitor the training hours in SAP
  • Manage the iPad, radio and knife sign in/out program
  • Miscellaneous duties as needed which could include production floor help
  • Assist Supervision with documentation related to events, employees, or any circumstance relevant to the shift
  • Actively participate in plant safety initiatives, including the Safety Committee

Qualifications
  • 1-2 years related experience in a progressive manufacturing setting desired

Required Skills/Abilities
  • Strong computer skills required
  • Knowledge of food GMP's
  • Food manufacturing experience a plus
  • Must be proficient in MS Office
  • Must be proficient in SAP
  • Honesty, integrity, and ability to maintain confidentiality of information
  • Ability and willingness to learn, understand, and follow documented work procedures
  • Written communication must be presented clearly and effectively
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Must be able to read, write, understand, and train on procedures, policies, and other company documentation that is presented

Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds repetitively.
  • Ability to bend, twist, and stand on your feet for an entire shift
  • Exposed to food production environment and warehouse environment, which may involve noise and fluctuating temperatures.
