Other conditions: Inquiring candidates must be enrolled as a student at the University of Hawaii Manoa campus. The Compliance Team at the UH Cancer Center supports systems that promote safety and data quality for all cancer related human subject's research. Specific duties may be assigned based on the interests and strength of the selected candidate(s). A scientific or medical background is helpful but not required. An interest in learning about medical research, including clinical trials, is preferred.
Job Duties:
- Support internal review of research records for quality and compliance; includes review of medical records.
- Assist with the drafting of research procedures including formatting documents according to approved templates.
- Assist with summarizing data and producing charts and graphs for data visualization.
- Monitoring Compliance related emails.
- Assist with tracking training completion across the Cancer Center.
- Assist in the development of education tools and resources for clinical research staff.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A classified University of Hawaii at Manoa graduate student (new or continuing). Good academic standing (3.0 GPA or above).
- Competent in general computer programs (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff.
- Applicant needs to be able to work independently and reliably as a team. Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
- Flexible and willingness to learn new skills.
