Job description

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. This role involves performing a variety of maintenance and groundskeeping tasks to ensure the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our property. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems and general maintenance work, with the ability to operate various tools and equipment efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, structures, and grounds
  • Complete work orders for guest rooms and adjacent areas throughout facility
  • Complete preventative maintenance routines per assigned floor
  • Complete regular pool chemical level checks
  • Conduct lawn care activities including mowing, edging, and fertilizing
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, excavators, and other machinery safely and effectively
  • Ensure proper watering of landscaped areas, parking lot maintenance, and clear sidewalks snow during winter months to keep pathways clear
  • Communicate with department and hotel leadership on work orders issues, delays, and suggestions for improvement.
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed during all maintenance activities

Requirements

  • Proven experience with mechanical knowledge and general maintenance tasks
  • Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and other landscaping equipment safely
  • Strong work ethic with attention to detail and safety standards
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Physical capability to perform manual labor including lifting heavy objects and operating machinery for extended periods
