Job description

THE ROLE

Merchandising Manager, Women's Sweaters

We are seeking a Merchandising Manager, Women's Sweaters to join our growing team. In this role, you will scale your business - owning the assortment, pricing, and strategy end to end. You'll combine product intuition with data-driven decision-making to build a high-performing assortment that delights customers and accelerates Quince's growth. This role will lead cross functional teams from PD, Tech design, Planning, and marketing to ensure deliverables are met to drive the business.

Responsibilities

  • Scale this business by adding to, refining and improving the Women's Sweaters assortment
  • Identify and execute the right expansion opportunities across Women's Sweaters to set the businesses up for long term growth
  • Work closely with production development, sourcing and technical design to develop and improve Women's Sweater products 
  • Partner with planning, site merchandising and marketing to grow these businesses
  • Obsess about every aspect of our products (quality, price, etc.) to deliver for the customer
  • Help drive the business forward to meet sales targets, customer ratings/return rates and improved margins

Qualifications

Required: 

  • Role is based in San Francisco California, with 3 days per week in office requirement.
  • 5-10 years of retail merchandising experience in the Women's Sweaters category, preferably with luxury expertise
  • E-commerce experience and/or DTC experience preferred
  • Proven track record of progressing within an organization and demonstrating continuous growth in roles and responsibilities
  • Product obsessed with experience in leveraging data tools and external sources
  • Critical eye to anticipate customer needs (both the "science" and "art" of retail merchandising)
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented and analytical with focus on execution, problem-solving, improving processes and brand enhancement
  • Continuous learner and highly curious; always open to considering new perspectives; proactive when changing course and facing added challenges
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Motivated by working in a fast-paced collaborative environment, where flexibility to stretch into or out of functional comfort zones is crucial for team success

Preferred: 

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferred
